Iskander "Alex" Sayapov is a Toronto based ​Production Designer. As a distinguished alumnus of the Toronto Film School, Iskander espouses a 'Holistic' design approach that consistently recognizes the needs of all departments to achieve optimal project outcomes. With an unwavering dedication to putting the story first, Iskander approaches every project as a logical problem rather than a purely artistic challenge. His design philosophy, coupled with meticulous research, allows him to address a broad range of aesthetic needs while remaining focused on the narrative. 

With over a decade of experience in the art department, and occasional forays in to prop and set building, Iskander is proficient in numerous disciplines, including graphic design, set design and construction, virtual environments, and 3D printing. Supported by an established network of talented artisans and builders, Iskander is always on the cutting-edge of industry advancements, consistently seeking out emerging technologies to elevate the possibilities of design.
